The RIAA wants You to Pay for Other's Piracy
I think that by now everyone should know that the RIAA is mafia-like organization that runs on greed and the abuse of the less fortunate, and, oh yeah, they're also batshit crazy. Suing the shit out of soccer moms, their kids and college students hasn't been working out for them too well so now they are proposing another way to line their pockets with even more billions of dollars - YES, the music industry makes billions of dollars and they are going after soccer moms because apparently those billions just aren't enough.
The new plan is to charge everyone, YES EVERYONE, a $5/month music piracy tax that will be paid by internet service providers and taken out of our pockets in the form of higher bills. So whether you are a filthy pirate or someone who doesn't even know what P2P means the RIAA wants you to pay, and if paying for the bad deeds of others wasn't bad enough you can bet your ass that you will still be charged the regular fee for downloading a song.
I hate greed and what it does to people, and the RIAA is one of the worst examples of greed I have ever seen. These people make billions of dollars a year and they are going crazy in the courts as if they were going to lose their home and not be able to put food on the table. We have policemen and teachers who are struggling to get by while spoiled poptarts complain about getting 7 million instead of 8. No one likes their stuff being stolen, but if I owned a million acres worth of apples I wouldn't start crucifying people for taking a couple barrels.
