Nyko Classic Controller Grip
When I first got my hands on the Wii Classic Controller the first thing I noticed was how awkward it felt. The pad is very wide and the buttons and D-pad are at the very edges causing discomfort or even severe pain in the hands. In fact my hand was hurting pretty bad a few days ago because of the CC. This begs the question, why didn't Nintendo just add the grips at the bottom themselves? Whatever the reason Nintendo didn't do it, but thankfully Nyko came to the rescue with their simple, plastic Classic Controller grip that makes holding and playing with the CC much more comfortable. More importantly it reduces the stress on your hands and makes playing a whole lot easier and safer.
The grip simply slides onto the controller and is kept in place with pegs that squeeze into the screw holes on the back. It stays on tight but remains fairly easy to remove. The grip also comes with a clear plastic Wiimote holder that you can clip into the CC. See the CC was initially designed to hold the Wiimote just like you see above so it has a special clip on the bottom that many wonder about. Nintendo apparently ditched the idea, but kept the clip. Now companies like Nyko can make peripherals for it. In any case no games are going to use the combination so it's rather pointless, and storing the Wiimote under the CC while you play is a bad idea since it just makes the CC more uncomfortable and heavy.
I tested it with Breath of Fire 2 on the VC and almost instantly I could tell the difference. Without the grip I couldn't play the game with the D-pad because my hand would start to hurt within minutes. Hitting the A button was also a pain because it too is at the edge of the controller. With the grip all of the buttons became easily accessible and pain free.
If you have a Classic Controller you owe it to yourself to buy this. It will not only make gaming easier it could potentially save you from long term hand injury. Nintendo really dropped the ball on their CC design, and I'm amazed they've done nothing about it.

- Easy to take off/put on
- Makes buttons more accessible
- Will protect you from a serious hand injury and fatigue
CONS:
- Wiimote clip isn't useful
- Storing the Wiimote under the CC is a uncomfortable and unnecessary
VALUE:
- I just bought this for $5 off Amazon and it's worth every penny. If you have a CC you need to buy this.
