Would You Like a Smash Bro. Brawl Preview Channel?
The Metroid Prime 3 preview channel got me thinking about some things - about some of the many possibilities that could arise from such a feature. The first thing that came to mind was Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and a preview channel for it on our Wii's where we got the daily updates. Imagine having something new to play with on your Wii every few days in the form of Brawl updates that dowload new pics of the game into your photo channel or streamed short gameplay demonstrations so that we could see the updates in motion. How cool would that be?
I know it's a stretch considering how slow Nintendo seems to be moving when it comes to offering features the other guys already have, but it's something they should think about while they slowly catch up. In the least it will make them look less out of touch and like they are listening to gamers.
The Metroid preview channel seems to be a step in the right direction, but if I were you I would email/write Nintendo and let them know that what they did was good and we want more of it sooner rather than later. Maybe they'll listen and start offering more cool little channels for us to play with and explore upcoming games.
