THQ Blames Nintendo for Poor Sales

posted 7 May 2008, Wednesday

Nintendo can't seem to win no matter what they do, and the excuses for why companies don't do well on a Nintendo system never seem to change. THQ is blaming Nintendo for not meeting sales expectations and trying to blame someone else for their failures. Of course none of this would even be an issue if THQ had released some games that were worth a damn.

The kids’ market was extremely competitive during fiscal ’08. In fact, it was the most crowded market for video games for kids in recent memory. - Brian Farrell, CEO, THQ

Wow. No shit! I wonder why the shovelware kids market was crowded in 2008? Maybe it's because companies like THQ kept dumping shitty kids games on the Wii instead of making real games? Maybe it's because THQ was too busy announcing their best franchises for PS3 and 360 and not the Wii?
