Is GTA Heading to the Wii?
Yeah, fuck all this stuff about casual gaming. I think people still want games that are groundbreaking. The Wii is doing something totally different, which is fantastic. We're hopefully going to prove that there’s also a very big audience for people who want entertainment in another form, who think of games as being a narrative device that can challenge movies. - Dan Houser, GTA Creator, Rockstar
When you first read this quote the thing that stands out is the hate for casual gaming. It's dumb and Dan shouldn't have said it because casual games are indeed games and there should be games for any and all tastes. However when you get past the inflammatory first sentence and read the next I start to scratch my head because it doesn't make any sense to praise the Wii right after bashing casuals.
The sentence after that makes even less sense because R* has already proven that there is an audience for their games. The only way it makes any sense is if you read it as Rockstar is going to prove that there is an audience for GTA ON THE Wii. Only then does bashing casuals then praising the Wii then talking about proving themselves make any sense.

Do you see how adding in the Wii suddenly makes his whole statement make sense? So does this mean that GTA is indeed coming to the Wii, or did Dan just sound like he was praising the Wii when he really wasn't? We'll have to wait and see I guess. Still I've lost a lot of respect for the Houser brothers with their ignorant anti-casual comment.
UPDATE:
No I'm not talking about bringing GTA4 to the Wii as a port. I'm talking about the franchise in general. San Andreas Stories on the Wii would make my day.
Unfortunetly, i dont think we'll see gta on wii any time soon. I doubt that
their publisher will agree to somthing like that, even if rockstar is
willing to develop gta ffor wii. Still, i would get gta4 if it where on
wii.
