Panties are 'Inappropriate' for the Dojo

posted 11 April 2008, Friday

The Smash Bro. Dojo is running a user submitted screenshot gallery with pics from the Wii's Super Smash Bro, but apparently gamers have been sending in upskirt pics and they've been deemed inappropriate. They even have a disclaimer on their site:

Please understand that snapshots depicting inappropriate content or containing inappropriate comments will not be eligible for selection.

To this point, I’ve received a great number of screenshots that focus on peeking at the undergarments of certain Brawl combatants. So let me just say it again—shots like these will never be posted to the Dojo or sent out to users via the Smash Service.

What I don't understand is how can something that was put in the game by Sakurai himself be inappropriate? He made the game, he put the panties in the game as well as the ability to see them, but now it's suddenly bad? It's as ridiculous as Dave Chappelle getting angry that people would use foul language when they walk up to him and say "I'm Rick James bitch!"

In other words, if you make a game with panties, upskirts and snapshots don't get angry when gamers put all those things together, and don't try to label it as something bad because YOU put it in the damn game! All this is doubly stupid because the pics should have just been ignored. Now there is a disclaimer that makes Sakurai look like an idiot and will undoubtedly make panty pic submissions go up.
