I really hate the RIAA. They are one of the worst examples of rich, powerful companies bullying people into submission in recent history, and even though they want to use every dirty, and illegal, trick in the book to squeeze money out of folks they are completely unwilling to open up their coffers holding billions of dollars to pay what they owe.
In this case the RIAA LOST in court after they realized that the soccer mom they were trying to squeeze wasn't going to take it lying down, and she sued them for attorney fees and won. Now they have to pay a measly 298K and they are refusing because it's too much money. The funny, and very angering, thing is that when going after people who supposedly stole their music they wanted around, oh, $9000 per song. FOR ONE SONG! Add to that the fact that the music industry is still making billions in profit each year and you have to wonder what special place God has reserved for these people in hell.
