According to Gamefly House of the Dead 2 and 3 will be making their way onto the Wii console in March of next year. According to those who follow these things Gamefly has been pretty accurate when it comes to revealing upcoming games.
The only sad part about this news, if true, is that the Wii lacks any form of real light gun experience. Ghost Squad is supposed to allow for reticle calibration, but I have no idea how well that works. Nintendo has clearly established that they don't care about a real light gun experience with their shoot from the hip Zapper, and game developers are all too happy using the Wiimote as their new gun - and not even offering gamers the option to configure the buttons.
Sitting on your couch with your Wiimote works well as an alternative when it comes to rail shooters, but it's just not the same thing as standing, aiming and shooting at the screen with a light gun in your hand. It's a totally different experience, but sadly very few people realize that.
