EA Tries to Buy Take-Two for 2 Billion Dollars
It's just been announced that Electronic Arts, the evil empire of the videogame world (yes before Microsoft), has proposed to buy Take-two and the Grand Theft Auto franchise to name one of their many important franchises. To summarize how I feel about this I will say - FUCK OFF EA, FUCK OFF AND GO TO HELL!
I swear to God, EA is a cancer that is slowly killing the videogame industry and this type of bullshit is why. All they do is run around buying up the best developers and then forcing them to make mediocre games under their banner. There isn't one franchise or developer that has gotten better under their name - not a single damn one. Instead we get yearly, yes yearly, watered down pieces of shit installments to games so that EA can maximize their profits while another quality developer vanishes off the face of the earth never to make a good game again. What happened to Ultima? What happened to Command & Conquer? All dead thanks to EA!
Oh yeah, and if they buy Take-Two say goodbye to practically any form of competition for their sports games. I guess buying an NFL monopoly wasn't good enough. Now they just want to buy out the damn competition so that they are the only sports game in town.
I've never been as angry over videogame news as I am now. This is such total bullshit. EA is literally gobbling up the videogame world and no one seems to be able to do anything about it. It'll be a sad, sad day if EA gets their dirty, filthy hands on the GTA brand.
