Bill: ...Software is doing vision and so, you know, imagine a game machine where you’re just going to pick up the bat and swing it or the tennis racket and swing it.
Walt: We have one of those.
Kara: Yeah. Wii.
Bill: No, that’s not it. You can’t pick up your tennis racket. And swing it.
When asked about the future of gaming in an All Things Digital interview, good ol' Bill Gates went on to describe a Nintendo Wii - you know that little console that is absolutely dominating the console war right now? Of course when he was told he was describing a Wii he immediately backtracked and said no.
It's funny how Microsoft praised the Wii when they thought there was no chance that it would be successful, even telling gamers to buy a Wii and 360 creating the term "Wii360", but now they try to bash it at every turn. If Gates wasn't describing a Wii he was describing a Sony Eye Toy. Either way he put his foot in his mouth.
